Leadership from Colossians
Jan 21, 2024I've been reflecting on a passage that's really spoken to me recently, and I wanted to share these thoughts with you all, especially for those in leadership roles. It's from Colossians 3:15-17.
You know, being a leader often makes us feel like we need to have all the answers, to be the one in charge. But these verses remind us that no matter how much we're leading, we're never truly doing it alone. It's not just about steering the ship; it's about the crew we have on board and the divine guidance that helps us navigate the waters.
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts... and be thankful." This line hits home, doesn't it? Leadership isn't a solo performance; it's a symphony played in harmony with our team, all of us guided by higher wisdom and values. Our strength as leaders comes from this unity and the peace that we cultivate within our teams.
And then, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom." It's a powerful reminder for us as leaders to nurture an environment of mutual learning and respect. It's not about dictating but about collaborating, sharing wisdom, and growing together.
Finally, "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus." For me, this is about aligning our leadership with our deeper values and purpose, acknowledging that we're part of something bigger. It's humbling and empowering to know that in our roles as leaders, we're supported by a divine presence, guiding us to make decisions that are not just good for business, but good for the soul too.
So to all my fellow leaders out there, let's remember: we're not in this alone. Our teams, our shared values, and our faith are what truly make us strong. Let's lead with humility, gratitude, and a heart open to guidance beyond our own.
Much love and blessings to you all!
